The GliderKeeper website has moved to a new home: a global server with a content delivery network (CDN) in front of it.
In practice that means the site is no longer served from a single machine in Spain. Copies of the pages, images and files now sit on servers around the world, and every visitor is served from the nearest one.
The difference is clearest in Asia: pilots in Japan, who often struggled to reach the site at all, now get it just as fast as anyone in Europe. Firmware and manual downloads benefit the most, as they are the heaviest files we serve.
Everything is also delivered compressed and with better-tuned caching, so each page after the first one arrives almost instantly.
Nothing changes for you: the address is the same, every link keeps working, and there is nothing to install or update. It should simply feel faster.
