Firmware x.32 has been released to keep GliderKeeper devices fully compliant with the FAI's requirements for AMRT (Altimeter/Motor Run Timer) devices used in F5J competition.
The AMRT specification is maintained by the CIAM EDIC Working Group (Electronic Devices In Competition) and published in the FAI Sporting Code, Section 4 — Volume EDIC. It defines exactly how an approved device must determine the F5J Start Height — a peak-altitude detection running from switch-on until 10 seconds after motor cut-off — and requires competition firmware to expose no user-configurable options, so that a wrong setting can never affect a result.
What this release does:
- Aligns the Start Height measurement and motor-run logic with the current AMRT specification.
- Locks the F5J flight mode to the approved, non-configurable behaviour.
- Keeps GliderKeeper's AMRT approval valid for sanctioned F5J events.
